$5 Desert Inn, Wilbur Clark

	Desert Inn, Wilbur Clarks- Opened April 1950, Recently closed. The Desert Inn was built by Wilbur Clark also owner of the El Rancho. Its top notch amenities and PGA caliber golf course attracted the high rollers of its day. It was one of the first casinos to use $500 chips. Wilburs smiling face is featured on many of the early Desert Inn chips and the one pictured here is no exception. There are thought to be only 3 known of this ultra rare rectangle and heart mold chip.
