Riviera- Opened March 1955. When constructed it was the tallest building on the Las Vegas Strip. Liberace, the biggest entertainer at the time was the Riviera's opening performer. He was paid an eye popping $50,000 a week! This classic first issue chip features the 250 room hotel as it looked on opening day. There are only 2 known of the $5 and only one of the newly discovered $25. Both are awesome chips and rank very high on many collectors want lists!! |
